DAY 1

AIRPORT/ PINNAWALA/ KANDY

Arrival in Sri Lanka

You will be met on arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport by our YALLA representative who will assist you with your luggage and guide you to your vehicle where your personal chauffeur guide awaits.

Transfer to Kandy en-route visiting the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage in time to witness the bathing and bottle feeding of elephants which have been abandoned by their herds in the wild.

Also visit a spice garden to see spices growing in their natural habitat and learn about spices and their use in Sri Lankan cuisine, en-route.

Kandy: This lovely city is the Hill Capital of Sri Lanka and was the last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings. It still retains an aura of grandeur which has been unaffected by time. Encircled by hills, with a tranquil lake in its center, it is the site of the renowned “Temple of the Tooth”. Kandy and its satellite villages are the center of the island’s handicraft industry and its traditional dances are the most lively and spectacular in the country.

DAY 2

KANDY/ PERADENIYA / KANDY

Breakfast at Hotel in Kandy. Visit the Royal Botanical Garden after breakfast The Botanical Gardens is 147 acres in extent, stated in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Kandy. There are more than 5000 species of tree and plants as well as some rare and endemic flora from the tropical world. Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists. This is haven not only fir Scientists but to every nature lover as well. The afternoon will be spent sightseeing Kandy including Arts & Crafts workshop, Oriental Market Place, Bazaar and Gem Lapidary. Evening: Witness a cultural show.

DAY 3

KANDY/NUWRA ELIYA

Breakfast at Hotel in Kandy.

Proceed to Nuwara Eliya visiting a Tea Plantation to see how tea is plucked and a Factory to witness the processing of the raw green leaf to the final graded product.

Nuwara Eliya is the heart of Sri Lankan hill country, it is the home of the famous Ceylon Tea and the rolling mountains are a carpet of velvety green tea plantations, interspersed with gushing streams and tumbling waterfalls. The salubrious climate, misty glens and the decidedly British character make Nuwara Eliya a must on any Sri Lankan travel industry.

DAY 4

NUWARA ELIYA / COLOMBO

Breakfast at Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

P.M. City tour of Colombo including visits to the Residential, Commercial and Bazaar areas – the tour also includes visits to well known Departmental stores such as “House of Fashion” and “ODEL”, which has internationally recognized “Designer” brands of clothing at an unbelievable price

DAY 5

COLOMBO/AIRPORT

Transfer from Colombo to the Airport
